BIG Plays in G-Mc's Homies Golf Tournament

In partnership with G-Mc’s Homies with Extra Chromies, the Billyard Insurance Group has always been proud to participate at the G-Mc’s Fitness Homies with Extra Chromies’ annual golf tournament in support of people living with Down Syndrome. Each year the event sells out quickly, and May 11, 2019 was no different! Hosted at Peninsula Lakes Golf Club, over 200 golfers came out to the event that held 18 holes of golf and hosted a silent auction, 50/50 draw and raffle tables to raise funds for children and adults living with Down Syndrome.

About G-MC’s Homies with Extra Chromies

G-Mc’s Homies with Extra Chromies began with Kathy and Ron McPherson looking to find a personal trainer for their beloved son, Gregory, who lives with Down Syndrome. When they met Blair Stayzer, Gregory’s now personal trainer, he was the perfect fit and quickly became a part of Gregory’s life and family, inspiring the group to found the non-profit organization and golf tournament. The aim of the organization is to improve the social, mental and physical wellness of individuals with Down Syndrome in the Niagara Region through fun and exciting experiences. These events allow members to interact with others in the community, build valuable life skills and also raises positive public awareness of Down Syndrome.
