Derek Ford

My name is Derek Ford, and I am an insurance broker with Billayrd Insurance Group - Port Perry. I have been in the insurance industry since 2020 and focus primarily on personal lines however, I have recently expanded into commercial insurance, especially craft breweries.

Prior to working in insurance, I was a museum supervisor at the Hockey Hall of Fame combining two of my passions: history and hockey. It was through my work at the Hockey Hall of Fame that I realized I had a knack for engaging with people from all walks of life. The insurance industry is similar; we connect with a wide variety of people daily providing them with a valuable service. It is important to me that insurance is not treated as a transaction, but as an interaction where each client leaves knowing their needs have been met. I have made it my goal to make the insurance purchasing process as seamless as possible while providing top notch service to all my clients.
