Simon Milavec

My name is Simon Milavec, Commercial Insurance Broker at BIG Welland. I have been in the insurance industry for 10 years, starting out originally as an Underwriting Assistant. Starting there allowed me to gain experience and understanding of the industry. I studied Mechanical Technician at George Brown College and transitioned into insurance by taking a few CIP courses which led to my CIP and CRM designations. However, my education doesn’t stop there, I am always taking RIBO courses to stay up to date in this ever-changing industry. 
Outside of my career, I enjoy playing guitar or bass in my cover band. Since the pandemic put a halt to this, I am hoping to eventually play some live gigs and enjoy my passion with others. One day I hope to travel to Hawaii and enjoy the beaches, palm trees, and blue waters and play the ukulele in its place of origin.
